FIRE-LINK II

Audibility upgrade for multi-family residential buildings

The Fire-Link II system was designed to address fire alarm audibility deficiencies in existing multi-family residential occupancies. NFPA 72, The National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, requires a sound level of at least 75 dBA at the pillow in sleeping areas. Fire alarm systems in many existing buildings do not meet this minimum requirement. Correcting this deficiency using traditional methods can be costly and intrusive. The Fire-Link II system utilizes the building’s existing AC wiring system to form a communication network between the control unit and addressable, supervised notification appliances plugged into standard, existing AC outlets within residential units.

Features & Benefits:

·          Flexible options for interface to just about any existing building fire alarm system.

·          Individually addressable notification devices monitored for troubles such as missing/removed devices and low battery conditions.

·          Self-test feature – main control panel “listens” to each notification appliance to confirm operation of the sounder without accessing the unit.

·          Eliminates the need to pull wires, conduit or raceway into residential units.

·          Battery back-up at the main control and individual notification devices for operation during AC power loss.

·          Fire-Link II is UL listed.
